Village Application: Mep

Finally done with this, omg. *lies down* Hoping to join Giant Thicket!

Gender: Considers herself vaguely female and uses she/her pronouns, but she doesn't care too much

Hobbies: Building models, attempting to invent new things, whittling, reading and reciting poetic epics
Forms: Akriri (regular, large), wood snake

Mep is still pretty young by Akriri standards, and while she'd like to think she's already got life mostly figured out, she doesn't quite. Though she strives to appear calm and collected, and has pretty much convinced herself she's completely unflappable and unaffected by change or chaos, she's actually a bit of a nervous, flustered thing underneath it all. She shrieks when startled and thinks too deeply about embarrassing things she did years ago, and is prone to being overwhelmed when presented with a lot of choices or stimuli all at once.

But though she may not be as unruffled and composed as she considers herself to be, she is a fairly easygoing little folk: open-minded, generous, and capable of being fairly polite when she bothers. She is also methodical and diligent, and was drawn as a young'un to building towers and fiddling with bits and bobs, and decided she wanted to be an architect and tinkerer early on. She is ambitious and deeply loves her craft, and hopes someday to be an official village architect, or perhaps even to help found another village in the forest.

Her study of architecture fills a good chunk of her time--she's focused on working hard and getting better. She is fairly confident in her abilities, and sometimes veers into arrogance when discussing her projects. For the most part, though, she is good at keeping herself modest and motivated, improving her craft for herself rather than measuring up to outside standards. When not practicing drafting or building, she likes to laze about in the upper canopy of the trees, just taking in the nice quiet, whittling, or reading poetic epics. (She has on occasion tried to write some of her own epic poetry, but suffice to say it did not turn out very well, and now she sticks to others' work.)

In short, this little folk is still working hard to figure herself and the world out, but is doing her best! <3 She has only worked on one transformation well enough to be proud of so far: a small wood snake about the size of a garter snake. It still needs a good deal of practice, though--she can't always hold it for more than a second. Once she's mastered it, she's trying for a mammal next.

(Also, she is TERRIFIED of the stories of the beast in the depths of the thicket but tries not to seem fazed by them!)
